Recipe:flan with lettuce

Lettuce is of course the perfect basis for a salad, but the vegetables are also delicious warm in a flan or risotto or cold-pressed in a smoothie. Carry on with that body. Here is the recipe for flan with lettuce.

Preparation time 15 minutes, oven time 40 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tbsp butter, plus extra for greasing
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 8 eggs
  • 200 ml whipped cream
  • 100 ml milk.
  • Additionally needed:quiche mold with a diameter of 20 centimeters (preferably with a loose bottom)

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C, convection mode. Grease the quiche mold with butter. Wash the lettuce well, separate the leaves and centrifuge or pat dry. Peel and chop the onion. Heat the butter in a pan and fry the onion until translucent. Sprinkle with the turmeric. Add the lettuce leaves, if necessary in portions, and let them shrink.
  • Beat the eggs with the whipped cream and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Divide the wilted lettuce over the bottom of the mold and pour the egg mixture over it.
  • Bake in the oven for about 40 minutes until the egg mixture is firm to the touch and golden brown (test with a skewer to see if the egg has set, no egg should stick to the skewer).
  • Let the oven cool slightly and remove the mold.
