Recipe for Thai shrimp skewers

BBQ on? Make a different skewer than usual.

Ingredients
For 4 people
Preparation time:20 minutes

  • 2 limes
  • 12 unpeeled raw king prawns
  • 2 tbsp Thai fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp melted butter

Preparation method
Squeeze the limes and dilute the juice with water to 750 ml. Wash the shrimp in the lime water and drain well. Stir the Thai fish sauce into the butter in a low bowl. Spoon the shrimp through the butter.

Place the shrimp on skewers soaked in water or on metal skewers. Roast the shrimp over a moderately hot barbecue for 5-8 minutes until just cooked. Serve with sweet chili sauce as a dip.
