One of my favorite childhood treats: Roudoudous! Whether it's their unique shell shape or irresistibly sweet flavor, these candies instantly evoke joy and nostalgia.
You feel it too? Let me share an effortless way to recreate these lickable delights at home—perfect for family fun or a sweet solo indulgence.
The recipe is straightforward, drawing from time-tested home candy-making techniques I've perfected over years of kitchen experiments. Here's how:

- 125 g of sugar
- Juice of 1 lemon or orange, to taste
- Mint or grenadine syrup for color preference
- Empty shells
1. Wash the shells thoroughly.
2. Squeeze the juice from your chosen fruit.
3. Combine juice and sugar in a small saucepan over low heat.
4. Stir constantly with a wooden spoon.
5. After 10 to 15 minutes, the mixture will thicken.
6. Remove from heat and stir in your chosen syrup.
7. Pour into shells and allow to cool.
Your delicious Roudoudous are ready! Enjoy them warm for gooey bliss or fully cooled for classic texture.
Skip the syrup for an authentic caramel appearance if preferred.
