Gratin of christophines (chayotes)

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 4 christophines
  • 150g of bacon (or ham)
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Bechamel sauce
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation

Cook the christophines in boiling water for about 30 minutes, then peel, pit and dice them.

Cut the onion, the garlic cloves and fry with the bacon bits.

Mix the preparation with the béchamel sauce and the christophines.

Salt and pepper.

Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake at 200°C.
