1 large egg
60 ml molasses
225 grams flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar on medium speed for about 2 minutes until light and fluffy. Add egg and molasses; mix until fully incorporated.

In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture on low speed until a dough forms.

Divide dough in half, wrap in plastic, and chill for at least 1 hour.
