Nice weekend recipe:taco tubs with chickpeas and almonds

These vegan taco tubs are the ideal dish for your weekend. Easily replace the minced meat in your taco shells with this soft, creamy taco filling with chickpeas and almonds. Add your favorite extras and… enjoy!

Ingredients

For 4 people

  • 400 g chickpeas
  • 100 g almonds
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 bag of Santa Maria Taco Seasoning Mix
  • 1 pack of Santa Maria Mini Taco Tubs

Optional: toppings such as arugula, coriander or finely chopped cucumber.

Preparation method

  1. Blend the chickpeas briefly in the food processor and finely chop the almonds.
  2. Dice the onion nicely. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and fry the onion over high heat.
  3. Add the chickpeas and almonds and lower the heat. Keep stirring.
  4. Add Taco Seasoning Mix and let everything heat through for about 4 minutes.
  5. Fill the Mini Taco Tubs with the mixture and add any extra toppings such as arugula, coriander and finely chopped cucumber.
