Ingredients
- 2 tbsp chia seeds
- 4 tbsp orange-apple juice
- 85 g white almonds, plus 2 tbsp extra
- 2 tsp grated orange peel
- 200 g Medjool dates, pitted
- 45 g grated coconut
- 2 tsp cocoa powder
- 150 g (vegan) extra dark chocolate (85% cocoa)

Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the chia seeds with the orange juice and let soak for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, toast the almonds briefly in a dry frying pan, transfer to a plate to cool, then roughly chop in a food chopper or processor. Add the orange zest, dates, coconut, cocoa, and soaked chia seeds. Process into a pliable dough and shape into 18 balls.
- Coarsely chop the chocolate. Place a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering water (ensuring the bowl doesn't touch the water) and melt the chocolate slowly. Let it cool slightly.
- Finely chop the extra almonds. Dip each ball in the melted chocolate, let excess drip off, and place on baking paper. Sprinkle with chopped almonds and allow the chocolate to set and harden.
