McDonald's is embracing the plant-based trend. Following the success of their vegetarian nuggets, the fast-food giant is now rolling out the vegetarian McKroket.
Responding to surging demand for meat-free options, this vegetarian take on the classic McKroket features a protein-packed meat alternative with a pulled pork-like texture and fresh parsley.

The vegetarian McKroket replaces the nuggets on the menu for now. It's available at Dutch McDonald's locations until November 23. Spokesperson Eunice Koekoek explains: "Vegetarian items require a separate fryer due to space constraints, so we can't offer everything at once. But strong demand could see the vegetarian McKroket join the permanent menu."
