Vegetarians enjoy expanding options at restaurants nationwide, yet some areas still fall short. During Vegetarian Restaurant Week, pop-up venues open temporarily in cities with limited vegetarian choices, ensuring everyone can savor plant-based cuisine.
Creating More Supply
Organized by the Vegetarian Union, this initiative bridges the gap. 'During Vegetarian Restaurant Week, people can enjoy culinary delights in countless restaurants, but there are still places where there is "nothing." We don't want to disappoint anyone. That is why we are setting up pop-up restaurants in these vegetarian deserts.'
Pop-Up Restaurants Schedule
Bolswerksmolen in Deventer (24 and 25 September), Werkcafé Zoomers in Nieuwegein (25 and 26 September), 't Rode Hert in Alkmaar (2 and 3 October), De Oude Ambachtsschool in Apeldoorn (3 and 4 October), and Wind force 13 in Den Helder (8 and 9 October). Each operates for just a few days, offering dinner by a local chef for €27.50—the same as all participating restaurants.
