Jet's Nutty Buddy Smoothie: Post-Workout Protein Recovery Recipe

After an intense workout, prioritizing protein helps repair muscles and restore energy. As a Santé columnist who's no stranger to tough sessions, I often crave something easy—no heavy chewing required. Prep this Nutty Buddy Smoothie ahead, and it's fridge-ready when you walk in the door.

Ingredients:

  • 2 apples (or organic apple juice if no juicer)
  • 1 banana
  • 2 tbsp cottage cheese
  • 6 walnuts
  • 1 fresh Medjool date, pitted
  • 1 pinch cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp agave syrup (optional)

How to Make It:
Juice the apples and pour into a blender. Peel and add the banana, along with cottage cheese, walnuts, date, cinnamon, and agave syrup. Blend until smooth. Taste-test: need more sweetness? Add another tbsp agave and blend briefly. Serve chilled for peak flavor.
