Vegan Fish Cakes with Fish-Free Tuna: De Vegetarische Slager Recipe

Whip up these flavorful fish cakes using their innovative fish-free tuna—a perfect vegetarian twist on a classic.

Ingredients

  • 300 g Fish-free Tonyn
  • 250 g mashed potatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • zest of 1 lime
  • 2 spring onions, thinly sliced
  • ½ red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cm ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 chilli pepper, finely chopped
  • ½ bunch coriander, coarsely chopped
  • 40 g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • pinch of white pepper

Preparation

  1. Mix all ingredients and chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
  2. Shape into eight balls and flatten into patties.
  3. Coat in breadcrumbs and fry in oil until golden.
