Recipe:Avocado Chocolate Mousse from Deliciously Ella

You must try this chocolate mousse:easy, tasty and on the table within five minutes!

Ella:'These small bowls of chocolate mousse are one of the tastiest quick snacks or desserts. You don't have to bake or cut anything, so you have them on the table in 5 minutes! The secret ingredient is avocado, which makes the mousse thick and intensely creamy. By the way, the avocado flavor disappears due to the rich chocolate flavor of the cocoa, almond paste, sweet banana and caramel-like dates, so I promise you won't notice that there are vegetables in your dessert.'

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 4 very ripe bananas, peeled (400 g)
  • 12 Medjoulders, pitted
  • 4 tbsp almond paste (recipe on page 24)
  • 5 heaping tsp raw cocoa
  • possibly:some maple syrup
  • optional:pinch of chia seed

Get started
Cut the avocados in half and remove the skin and pit. Place the pulp in the food processor. Add all the remaining ingredients, with a little water and the maple syrup, if using, and blend into a delicious, smooth mousse. Divide the mousse between four soufflé dishes or small glasses and garnish with chia seeds if you like. Place the mousse in the fridge until you are ready to eat it.
