In today's economy, serving delicious meat dishes doesn't have to break the bank. As a seasoned home cook, I've mastered using pork—an affordable, versatile cut—to create meals bursting with flavor.
Prepared Provençal-style in a hearty sauté, it captures the sunny essence of southern France. This easy recipe for sautéed pork with Provençal vegetables is a family favorite that fills the kitchen with irresistible aromas.

- 1 kg of sautéed pork
- 1 large can of peeled tomatoes
- 2 onions
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 green pepper
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Olive oil, salt, and pepper
1. In a large casserole dish, brown the pork pieces over high heat with a drizzle of olive oil until well-colored on all sides.
2. Slice the onions, chop the garlic, and add them to the meat, stirring to release their flavors.
3. Wash the peppers, remove the seeds, cut into strips, and add to the pan.
4. Pour in the peeled tomatoes, mix everything thoroughly, then season with salt and pepper.
5. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 1 hour 30 minutes.
Your Provençal pork sauté is now ready! Serve with fresh pasta, ratatouille, zucchini, or rice for a complete meal. It reheats beautifully the next day on low heat, developing even more flavor.
