Ingredients

Serves 4 - Prep time: 15 min - Cook time: 1h30

- 750 g beef (braising beef, bourguignon, or beef cheek)

- 1 tbsp oil

- 30 g butter

- 3 onions

- 3 meat stock cubes

- 750 g carrots

- 500 g potatoes

- 1 small can tomato puree

- 1/2 liter water

- Salt and pepper

How to Make It

1. Cut the beef into large cubes.

2. Peel and chop the onions.

3. Peel the carrots and potatoes.

4. Slice carrots into rounds and cut potatoes into wedges.

5. In a large casserole, heat the oil and add the butter.

6. Once hot, add the meat.

7. Stir regularly to brown all sides.

8. Add onions and cook until softened and browned.

9. Season with salt and pepper.

10. Dissolve stock cubes in water and pour into the casserole.

11. Simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.

12. Add carrots and tomato puree.

13. Cook for another 20 minutes.

14. Add the potatoes.

15. Simmer for 50 more minutes.
