Ingredients

  • ½ liter of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 100 grams of grated chocolate
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoons cold milk

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, bring the milk, sugar, and salt to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the grated chocolate until fully melted.
  3. Return to low heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring gently to prevent scorching.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the cold milk until smooth.
  5. Gradually pour the egg mixture into the hot chocolate milk, whisking constantly.
  6. Cook on low heat, stirring continuously until thickened, without boiling.
  7. Pour into a serving bowl and allow to cool at room temperature.
