Authentic Creole Avocado Souskai Recipe

Ingredients (Serves 4)
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 untreated limes
  • 1 fresh chili, finely chopped
  • 2 ripe avocados

Preparation

  1. Combine garlic and salt in a mortar and crush to a fine paste. Add the chili and crush again until smooth. Stir in the lime juice to create a zesty marinade.
  2. Peel the avocados and dice the flesh into small cubes. Place in a large bowl and gently toss with the marinade.
  3. Refrigerate for 2 hours to let the flavors meld.

Serve chilled as a refreshing aperitif, paired with olive skewers.
