Easter:the Peepshake, the chocolate egg that contains milkshake

This year, Easter seems to be placed under the sign of originality in the United Kingdom. After the Chester Egg, an all-cheese egg ideal for those who are not fond of chocolate, there is now the other extreme with an egg which is made for those most fond of sweet food. This is the "Peepshake", a large chocolate egg all that is banal which contains... a milkshake! Or more precisely a “freakshake”, a culinary trend that appeared in 2016, which therefore consists of a milkshake to which are added a fruity or sweet coulis, a cake or a biscuit and candies. Just that!

Cheesecake, whipped cream, marshmallows…

The Peepshake therefore includes a cheesecake-based milkshake (that's a lot of "-cake", we know), whipped cream, Oreos "crumbs", and small animal-shaped marshmallows from the American brand. Peeps (hence the name of the mixture). Without forgetting the container of course:a milk chocolate egg from the English confectionery brand Cadbury. Foodporn in sight… This little wonder was marketed in London restaurants of The Diner chain only during the day of Good Friday, April 14, 2017. But no regrets:only 5 Peepshakes were available in each establishment, and each of these impressive eggs was sold for €17.50 (a small fortune all the same).

It's not too late though to try and replicate a similar treat at home tomorrow. Just make sure the kids find it fast, because milkshake and sunshine aren't going to mix...
