3 ideas for using Easter eggs

Are you one of those people who never manage to finish their Easter eggs? We don't, but we know some, and we know how annoying it can be to see these little treats lying around for months, or even going out of date, when they are just waiting to be eaten. So here are some (delicious) ideas for consuming them…

Incorporate them into a cake

Chocolate eggs are first and foremost chocolate, so nothing prevents them from being melted and used in preparations for cakes, cupcakes, cookies or other. In milk, white or dark, or even mixed, they replace classic chocolate in almost all recipes. And if you're too lazy to cook, just place them on a puff pastry, twist it and put it all in the oven:we have the chocolate braid (to be enjoyed warm)!

Use them in topping

This is the trick to getting rid of, uh, reusing small sugar eggs or Smarties/M&Ms:they are placed on a cake, an ice cream or any dessert. Incidentally, said dessert becomes much more Instagrammable… As for chocolate eggs, they can also be melted to create a sauce that goes perfectly with any dessert or even a chocolate fondue.

Hide eggs in cakes

This is the right trick for revisiting a classic yogurt cake:you can hide small chocolate eggs (or more wacky flavors like chocolate/caramel). Surprise effect guaranteed, and it's delicious. It also works in individual muffins or fondants…

Bon appetit!
