London's Firedog Restaurant Ditches Avocados for Vibrant, Healthy Breakfast Alternatives

Avocados are ubiquitous in salads, on toast, and beyond. Their popularity even inspired The Avocado Show in Amsterdam, a restaurant dedicated entirely to creative avocado dishes like burgers and smoothies. Bucking the trend, one London spot has boldly removed avocados from its menu altogether.

Colorful and Tasty Alternatives

The Firedog in London showcases that health-focused meals don't rely solely on avocados—vibrant options like pomegranate, lemon, fennel, beetroot, cucumber, and pumpkin deliver equal flavor and nutrition. Standouts include Aegean-inspired lemon cream paired with organic honey cake and clotted cream. "Our mission is to reinvigorate breakfast in London, which only offers avocado because we are frankly annoyed to see it on every menu," chef George Notley shared with The Independent. Could the avocado craze be waning? Firedog has certainly captured attention.
