London restaurant bans avocado

Avocado is everywhere:in our salads, on our sandwiches or in our sandwiches. It is so popular that a restaurant entirely dedicated to this fruit recently opened its doors in Amsterdam. Called Avocado Show, it offers original avocado-based recipes, such as burgers or smoothies! Faced with this frenzy, an establishment decided to go against the current, by purely and simply banishing the fruit from its menu.

Colorful and tasty alternatives

Through this initiative, the Firedog, based in London, wants to show that the avocado is not the only food to have health benefits, and that there are many alternatives that are just as tasty and colorful. On the menu:pomegranate, lemon, fennel, beetroot, cucumber or even pumpkin! Amazing dishes, inspired by Aegean cuisine such as this lemon cream accompanied by an organic honey cake and clotted cream that can be found on the Firedog menu. “Our mission is to reinvigorate breakfast in London, which only offers avocado, because we are frankly annoyed to see it on every menu,” George Notley, the restaurant's chef, told The Independent . Could the avocado trend be reversing? One thing is certain:Firedog will have managed to make people talk about him!
