You make the best hot chocolate by melting milk chocolate or dark chocolate in milk and full cream, possibly with some cocoa powder or even some sugar or vanilla extract. But if you still want something more than traditional hot chocolate, we have these 9 surprising options for you!

1. Frozen chocolate milk

Let your hot chocolate cool and then pour it into an ice cube tray. Put it in the freezer and let the chocolate milk set. When they are hard, put them in a blender, add some milk (or ice cream) and chocolate and blend everything until creamy. Serve with a straw and top with some chocolate sprinkles for topping.

2. Marshmellow hot chocolate

Fill an oven-safe mug with hot chocolate and plenty of marshmellows. Place the mug in the hot oven, but leave the door open to prevent the marshmellows from burning.
