Liemès Food District Opens This Autumn in Utrecht's Iconic The Wall

This autumn, Liemès Food District will open its doors in Utrecht's landmark The Wall building. This innovative dining concept brings together the finest dishes from 11 diverse world cuisines, perfect for gatherings with friends, family, or colleagues. The name 'Liemès,' derived from the Latin 'limes' meaning 'border,' nods to the ancient Roman Empire's demarcation line that once ran through this very region in the Netherlands. Just as that historic border was a crossroads, Liemès serves as a vibrant meeting place, featuring varied seating options—low, high, and long tables—plus two open bars. The intimate restaurant area by the expansive windows invites leisurely dining amid 11 specialized kitchens offering global flavors.

Eleven World Cuisines
Order directly from expert chefs at each station, then settle into cozy seating with long communal tables and bar-height stools. Larger groups can opt for spacious tables or plush seats by the towering windows. True to Liemès' distinctive theme, every kitchen boasts its own unique look and feel.

Standout Features
Positioned centrally among the kitchens, the long tables and high seats offer an immersive experience. A second bar links this hub to an elevated window area for seamless ordering. Scan the QR code at your table or corner sofa to place orders for dishes and drinks, delivered right to you. Gaze out through floor-to-ceiling windows under a mesmerizing meter-high blue ceiling illuminated like a starry sky by custom designer lamps. An eight-meter-tall tree dramatically connects the two spaces.
