How to Make the YouTube-Sensation Pan-Fried Banana Cake
INGREDIENTS
- 1 egg
- 2 bananas
- 150 ml of milk
- 80 g of sugar
- 60 ml vegetable oil
- A pinch of salt
- 7 g vanilla sugar
- 8g baking powder
- 150 g soft wheat flour
- 1 large tbsp of white vinegar
PREPARATION
- Sprinkle the bottom of a non-stick pan with a tablespoon of sugar. If no non-stick pan, melt a knob of butter.
- Cut two bananas into medium slices and arrange in the pan. Apples or an apple-banana mix work too.
- In a bowl, crack 1 egg. Add a pinch of salt, vanilla sugar, and 60 g sugar. Whisk well.
- While whisking, pour in 150 ml milk, then 60 ml vegetable oil.
- Sift 150 g flour with 8 g baking powder. Fold into the wet mixture. Stir in 1 tbsp white vinegar (or lemon juice) for a lighter texture and faster rise.
- Pour batter into the pan. Cover and cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
- Flip onto a plate and cook the other side uncovered for 3-4 minutes.
Done! Bon appétit! 😉
