The fourth edition of the National Week without Meat has started. During this week, the Netherlands will be made aware of the positive impact of eating less meat. Are you in?

The National Week without Meat is an initiative of Isabel Boerdam, known for the blog and book De Hippe Vegetarian and the Vega Bible.

This is the positive influence of a week without meat

The campaign calls for the meat to be left in the week from 8 to 14 March. And maybe you'll last longer! Because by leaving meat you have a positive contribution to the environment and animal welfare. You can mean a lot if you leave meat for a week. This is how you save in seven days:

  • 101 liters of water
  • 79 km driving in CO2 emissions and
  • 770 grams of animal meat
