Own a Vineyard Plot in Amsterdam: Urban Winegrowing Comes to the Netherlands

While the Netherlands gets fewer sunshine hours than southern France, its climate is ideal for cultivating specific wine grape varieties, as proven by growing successes across the country.

Pilot Project Underway
Grapevines have been planted experimentally on land near Amsterdam Sloterdijk. In spring 2016, a 1,200-square-meter vineyard opens, enabling enthusiasts to rent their own plots and experience winemaking firsthand.

Building on Proven Models
The Hague already hosts a thriving city vineyard. Amsterdam local Claire Felicie partnered with its founder and two other residents to create No Chateau, bringing this innovative concept to the capital.

Investment Breakdown
For €225 per harvest year, secure your plot. From 2018, anticipate harvesting around ten bottles of your own wine annually.
