  • 20 cl (about ¾ cup) wine vinegar
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and pepper

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Heat a little olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sardine fillets gently.
  3. Cook for 3 minutes on one side, then 3 minutes on the other.
  4. Remove with a slotted spoon, drain well, and arrange in a large, rimmed dish.
