These are the five cocktails and mocktails you want to be seen with this summer

It's summer again! And of course we prefer to celebrate by plopping down on the terrace again with a refreshing cocktail in hand. Over the past year, we've largely missed this delightful outing and the latest mixology trends may have passed us by. A Mojito, Sex on the Beach or Breezer Pineapple, is that still possible? Bartenders and Coca-Cola brand ambassadors Dyon, Kimmy and Michael will update you on the hippest and hottest cocktail and mocktail trends of the moment, made with the versatile mixers of the Royal Bliss and the Coca-Cola Signature Mixers range.

Consciously experimenting
“Classics are always popular, but we do see that people are becoming more and more experimental in their consumption when it comes to cocktails and mocktails. They want to be surprised in taste, colour, smell and presentation”, begins Dyon Seedorf, manager at George Cocktailbar in Rotterdam. This suits him well, because in his own words, creative freedom is sacred to bartenders. Colleagues Kimmy van der Schee (bar manager at Doloris in Tilburg) and Michael Ziengs (owner of The Five Points in The Hague) fully agree and like to think outside the box.

“It is also noticeable that people are generally drinking more consciously,” Kimmy says. According to the bartenders, there is more demand for alcohol-free or low-alcohol drinks. Kimmy continues:“This year I will therefore focus more on mocktails. People are very conscious about their alcohol intake, but they do want to be presented with a tasty and beautiful drink.”

Royal Bliss Premium Mixers &Coca-Cola Signature Mixers

The bartenders, who together have more than thirty years of experience in premium cocktail business at home and abroad , all three are fans of the Royal Bliss Premium Mixers range and Coca-Cola Signature Mixers. “Where the choice was previously limited, there are now versatile products available that allow for countless drink combinations,” Dyon continues. Both Royal Bliss and the Signature Mixers have been developed for and by bartenders who like to use their own creativity behind the bar. “For example, some other mixers have a very dominant sweet taste, or, for example, overpowering orange tones. Then you quickly find yourself in a certain corner, while we prefer to experiment ourselves," says Michael.

Curious about the tastiest, creative recommendations from Dyon, Kimmy and Michael, made with these mixers? These are the five cocktails and mocktails you want to be seen with this summer:

Blueberry Paloma. According to bartender Dyon, he was already a runner on the terrace last year, but this one will stay for a while:the Blueberry Paloma. This cocktail is a twist on the classic Paloma and is made with homemade blueberry syrup, lime juice, tequila, grapefruit juice and Royal Bliss bohemian berry sensation. A beautiful color, fresh taste aromas and a delicious drink.

The Matador. Give a Mexican twist to your afternoon on the terrace and opt for The Matador:a cocktail with mezcal, triple sec, lime juice and the Coca-Cola Signature Mixers herbal notes.

Juice Up Ginger. A fruity and slightly spicy mocktail, made with ginger. The Juice up Ginger consists of cloudy apple juice, lime juice and Royal Bliss ginger beer.

Straight From the Barrel. A potent cocktail made with bourbon, ginger liqueur, lemon juice and Coca-Cola Signature Mixers woody notes. Top it off with ginger and mint, and it not only tastes good but also looks cozy.

La Vie en Rose. A floral, sweet and above all fresh mocktail:perfect for sunbathing. Made with lavender, rose syrup, lime juice and Royal Bliss bohemian berry sensation.
