Dragon's Breath: The World's Hottest Pepper, Packing 2.4 Million Scoville Units

If you're a heat seeker who loves extreme spicy foods, meet Dragon's Breath—the world's hottest chili pepper, recently unveiled at a blistering 2,400,000 Scoville units (SCU). That's 200,000 SCU hotter than the current record holder and over 500 times spicier than Tabasco sauce, making it far too intense for everyday eating.

The Scoville scale, created in 1912 by American pharmacist Wilbur Scoville, measures capsaicin concentration to gauge pepper heat levels.

Father-son duo Bob and Neal Price, who developed, own, and grow Dragon's Breath, plan to breed an edible version for sale through their company, ChilliBobs.
