Forget guacamole:this is how you make broccoli from broccoli

Making your own dips and spreads is super easy, takes little time and is much tastier and healthier than a container from the store. Santé's Annemiek shares her recipe for broccoli this time.

Perfect for a drink.

Ingredients

  • 250 g broccoli
  • 60 ml Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1/4 red pepper, seeds removed, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tbsp fresh
    coriander, finely chopped
  • 1/2 lime
  • 1 plum tomato.

Extra needed:stick blender

This is how you make it

  • Cut the broccoli into florets and cook for 12 minutes. Drain and place the florets in a tall bowl.
    Let cool.
  • Add the yogurt, garlic, pepper, red onion and coriander, squeeze the lime over the top and add ½ teaspoon salt.
  • Mix with the hand blender until smooth, creamy.
  • Taste and season with pepper, extra salt and/or some lime juice.
  • Then cut the tomato into small cubes and toss through. Put the broccoli in the fridge until ready to use, so it stiffens further.
