Easy Trifle Recipe: Vanilla Muffin, Cinnamon-Baked Apples & Vanilla Yogurt

This simple yet elegant trifle is a crowd-pleaser, perfect for impressing guests with minimal effort. As home cooks know, fresh ingredients make all the difference.

Ingredients for 2 servings

  • 2 Goudreinet apples
  • 10 grams of slivered almonds
  • half a sprig of cinnamon
  • semi-skimmed vanilla yogurt
  • a vanilla muffin
  • 50 ml whipped cream
  • 1.5 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel the Goudreinet apples, cut into quarters, remove the core, and dice into cubes.
  2. Heat the butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the apple cubes, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon, and cook for 6-9 minutes until soft and caramelized. Remove from the pan with the cooking liquid and set aside.
  3. Meanwhile, in a bowl, whip the cream with the sugar using a mixer until fluffy. In the same pan, toast the slivered almonds without oil for 2-3 minutes until golden, stirring frequently.
  4. Divide the vanilla yogurt between bowls or glasses. Crumble the vanilla muffin over the yogurt, top with the baked apple cubes and their juices. Finish with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of toasted almonds.
