As a home cook who loves blending global flavors on a budget, I've found Tandoori Chicken Skewers perfect for barbecuing—or baking when the weather doesn't cooperate. Low in calories and incredibly affordable, they add an authentic exotic touch to everyday meals that always impresses guests.

- 6 chicken cutlets: around 900 g at €9.48 per kilo, i.e. €8.53
- 2 natural velvety yoghurts: 250 g at €1.64 per kilo, i.e. €0.41
- 1 small bunch of parsley: €0.95 each
- 1 small bunch of mint: €1.09 each
- 2 tablespoons of tandoori paste: 30 g at €15.46 per kilo or €0.46
These flavorful skewers cost me just €1.90 per person or €11.44 for 6 people total.
1. Cut the chicken cutlets into cubes.
2. In a bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of tandoori paste with 1 yogurt.
3. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, mix well, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
4. Thread the marinated cubes onto skewers.
5. Grill on the barbecue or bake in the oven at 210°C for 10 minutes, turning regularly.

6. Rinse, dry, and finely chop the mint and parsley.
7. Mix the remaining yogurt with the chopped herbs in a bowl.
8. Serve the herb yogurt sauce alongside the skewers in small ramekins.

Alternate chicken cubes with your favorite prepped veggies like zucchini, tomatoes, eggplant, mushrooms, peppers, or onion rings for extra flavor and nutrition.
Wooden skewers work just as well as metal ones to securely hold the meat.
