An easy and inexpensive Viennese chocolate recipe.

An easy and inexpensive Viennese chocolate recipe.

To change a bit from the traditional Hot Chocolate, I offer you a recipe for Viennese chocolate easy, gourmet and not expensive of course.

I love to prepare this recipe which changes a little from the ordinary and which is delicious .

This easy cooking recipe will take you 15 minutes to smash everything.

As for ingredients, you will need for 4 people:

>> 200 g of dark chocolate
>> 1 liter of milk
>> 10 cl of liquid cream
>> 1 tbsp sugar powder

First step, I make my whipped cream , to which I then add powdered sugar.

For the whipped cream to take easily, the little trick is to put the bowl I use to prepare it on a salad bowl containing a little ice cream.

When I beat the cream, it will rise more easily thanks to the cold . For those who don't want to bother making their whipped cream, take a can of whipped cream in supermarkets, but if it's not homemade, it will cost you more;-).

Then I melt the chocolate in a bain-marie with two tablespoons of milk, to obtain a smooth result.

Still on the heat, I gradually add the milk to the melted chocolate and let the mixture heat up for a few minutes, stirring occasionally.

Once the preparation is hot, I pour it into cups. I add whipped cream a few seconds before serving, and I sprinkle a little cocoa to decorate.

Here you have a delicious Viennese to enjoy with a croissant or a good piece of chocolate cake for more indulgence.

Savings Achieved

In the pubs we are made to believe that by taking Viennese in sachets we will end up with a creamy chocolate covered with a thick mousse.

In fact, when you have the famous cup in front of your eyes, you wonder where the mousse and the chocolate taste went... Really not great.

In supermarkets, it's 2.30 euros for 8 sachets for a terrible result, it's not worth it. At least with my homemade recipe, I'm not disappointed.

Well it takes me a little time, but I had fun with good ingredients for much less.
