As a home cook with years of hosting experience, these skewers are a staple on my aperitif table. Nutritious and far more exciting than peanuts or sausage slices, they add originality to any gathering— all for a fraction of the cost.

For 4 people - Preparation time: 15 min - Cooking time: 10 mins
- 8 thin slices of pork
- 120 g Emmental cheese (8 x 15 g sticks)
- 8 small stalks of celery
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 2 pinches of powdered sugar
- 1 pinch of Espelette pepper
- 8 skewers
Preparation: 15 min – Cooking: 10 min – Resting: 30 min
1. Wash and dry the celery stalks.
2. Cut the Emmental into sticks of about 15 g (2 sticks per person).
3. Thread the Emmental then the celery onto skewers.
4. Wrap the meat around the skewers and hold them tight with string.
5. Arrange the skewers in a deep dish, drizzle with soy sauce, sprinkle with sugar and chilli.
6. Leave to marinate for 30 minutes.
7. Drain the skewers then cook them 8 min in a pan or hot oven without fat.
8. Remove the strings.
