Hungarian goulash soup recipe

Now that the weather is getting colder, a cup of soup is great to warm you up. Goulash soup originates from Hungary. Here's an easy recipe to make this goulash soup yourself.

Ingredients for 4 people
3 Peppers
1 Large onion
1 Garlic clove
4 waxy potatoes
2 tbsp Butter
300 g Beef pods diced
1 tbsp Tomato puree
1 tbsp Flour
1 tbsp Paprika powder
1 Liter beef stock
1 Bay leaf
Salt
Freshly ground pepper

Preparation
Halve the peppers, remove the seeds and cut the peppers into strips. Peel the onion and chop it finely. Crush the garlic clove. Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes.

Heat the butter in a large pan and fry the beef poulet until brown on all sides for about 5 minutes. Add the onion, bell pepper, garlic and tomato puree and fry for about 3 minutes. Sprinkle the flour and paprika over the meat and fry for about 1 minute. Add the stock and the bay leaf and bring the soup to the boil while stirring.

Let the soup simmer covered for another 2 hours on a simmer. Add the potato cubes for the last 10 minutes. Remove the bay leaf and season the soup with salt and pepper. Divide the soup among 4 plates and serve with French bread.
