A super cool winter treat, cupcakes in Winterwonderland

At this time of year, finding the best treats is a sport. Treating in the winter is something different than in the summer, and the treats often look slightly different. Last week we fell in love with this winter treat of cupcakes in Winterwonderland. Super creative and also very tasty. And easy to make, let's not forget that. Nice to make for Christmas or for school. This winter treat was not (yet) made by myself, but by another creative mother.

Making winter treat, cupcakes in winter wonderland

When the mother in question walked in to the ski lesson, you could only hear everyone shouting 'oh' and 'ah', so nice! These winter treats are a feast for the eyes and the joke is that they are not difficult to make at all. So I think this will be our treat for Christmas dinner at school this year.

This ski mountain looks like it's a lot of work, but secretly it's not that difficult to make these winter treats. It is above all the way of 'serving' that makes it really fantastic.

Ingredients winter treat:

  • Cupcakes or muffins (pick up yourself or buy in the store)
  • White chocolate spread
  • White fondant to make stars
  • Icing sugar
  • White marshmallows
  • Small white bacon
  • white sprinkles

The above can be expanded with all kinds of other goodies that are white, whatever you want! Making this treat at Christmas can also be an interesting option.

Stuff to completely pimp the winter treat

  • Christmas trees
  • Playmobil or lego dolls that are Christmassy (Christmas tree, sleigh, deer, skis, etc.)

Making winter treat, the mountain

It couldn't be easier than making this winter treat.

  • First you spread the cupcakes with white chocolate spread. This will make the top side sticky.
  • Stack the cupcakes on top of each other to make the mountain of the winter treat. Because they are a bit sticky, they also stay together well.
  • First add the decoration trees to the whole
  • Now you can decorate the cupcakes (or muffins) with the stars, the marshmallows, the white bacon and the white sprinkles (or aniseed for example)
  • Now add the smaller decorations like Santa Claus, the sleigh, a red bus or letterbox, whatever.
  • Icing sugar all over and your winter treat is ready.

I have now also made this winter treat myself, see the result below:
