5 tips for a winter salad

Salads are not only tasty in the summer. In winter you can experiment with seasonal vegetables.

1. Fill your salad with winter vegetables such as parsnips, pumpkin, beets, carrots or kohlrabi.

2. Try other types of lettuce or even omit the lettuce altogether. Instead of lettuce, you can use kale or chicory and red chicory.

3. You can make the salad a little heavier by adding quinoa. Nuts and seeds also do well in a winter salad. How about a handful of pumpkin seeds in your salad?

4. To make your salad a bit fresh, you can use a fresh dressing or add pieces of fruit to your salad.

5. Season your salad with herbs, which is tasty and healthy. Experiment until you discover your own favorite spice mix.
