4 Immunity-Boosting Winter Smoothies: Delicious Recipes for 4

Pomegranate-Fig Smoothie

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 large banana
  • 4 fresh figs
  • Seeds of ½ pomegranate
  • 400 ml whole milk
  • 1 pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 250 ml pomegranate juice
  • 150 g vanilla yogurt
  • 250 g crushed ice

Preparation: Peel the banana and cut into pieces. Wash the figs, pat dry, and halve them. Add all ingredients except the ice to a blender or food processor. Blend, then add ice and mix until smooth. Pour into 4 glasses and serve immediately.

Sea Buckthorn & Ginger Smoothie

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 oranges
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 small bananas
  • 2 tsp candied ginger
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 250 ml sea buckthorn juice
  • 250 ml carrot juice
  • 500 g crushed ice

Preparation: Thickly peel the oranges to remove all white pith, then slice. Thinly peel and grate the carrots. Peel and chop the bananas. Roughly chop the ginger. Combine all chopped ingredients with honey and juices in a blender. Blend smooth, add ice, and mix again. Pour into 4 glasses and serve immediately.

Warm Chocolate Oat Milk Smoothie

Preparation time: 15 minutes + 10 minutes steeping

Ingredients:

  • 600 ml whole milk
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2-3 cardamom pods
  • ¼ tsp ground chili pepper
  • 175 g dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 60 g oat flakes

Preparation: In a saucepan, bring milk, cinnamon, cardamom, and chili to a boil. Reduce heat and steep for 10 minutes. Remove spices. Chop chocolate and stir into warm milk until melted. In a blender, combine sugar, oats, and chocolate milk. Blend until smooth. Pour into 4 tea glasses and serve immediately.

Orange Coconut Smoothie

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 oranges
  • 3 tbsp coconut blossom sugar
  • 300 ml coconut milk
  • 300 ml whole milk
  • 1 tsp freshly grated turmeric
  • 1 pinch of ground cinnamon
  • 400 g crushed ice

Preparation: Thickly peel oranges to remove all white pith, then slice. Add all ingredients except ice to a blender and purée. Add ice and blend again. Pour into 4 glasses, dust with extra cinnamon or turmeric, and serve immediately.
