Make your own almond butter

Almond butter is tasty and full of healthy fats. Making your own potty is not only fun, but also a lot cheaper.

How do you make almond butter?

Place raw unsalted almonds in food processors until spreadable. That takes about 15 to 30 minutes. You can optionally add some sea salt, grated coconut, cocoa, honey or cinnamon. Place the almond butter in a jar. You can keep it for about two weeks.

What do you use almond butter for?

Almond butter is a perfect substitute for peanut butter. You can use it on your rice cake, in a smoothie or when baking muffins, granola bars or cakes.
