Cooking leftover stale bread

Is your bread bought yesterday all stale? Do not throw it away, because you can use it to prepare delicious sweet and savory recipes. One of the best known is French toast. Dip your stale bread in a mixture of milk and egg then brown it in a pan in a little butter. Sprinkle with sugar or jam and enjoy! Another idea:cut your bread into small cubes then toast them in the oven with a little fat. You will get croutons to sprinkle your soups, your salads... Also try the bread pudding, by mixing your stale bread previously rehydrated in milk with eggs, sugar, raisins... Bake it in the oven:it's delicious! Also try with leftover brioche.

Cooking leftover cheese

Is your gruyere very hard? Grate it and use it to decorate a gratin, a pizza, pasta... If you have lots of small pieces of lonely cheese left in your fridge, you can also melt them in a small saucepan with a little milk or creme fraiche. You will get a delicious sauce to coat the pasta for example!
