As slim as a Chinese

According to British nutritionists, Chinese food is good for the weight. No, not the foe yong hai you can get at the Chinese takeaway, but traditionally prepared Chinese food. This means that about half of the meal consists of vegetables and that there is no sauce with the rice.

The Chinese also traditionally eat a bowl of soup with almost every meal. This is filling, but relatively low in calories. In the Netherlands, many Chinese restaurants have been adapted to Western tastes, so that there is more fat in the food.
