€312 in savings by limiting my trips to the bakery.

Do you like to enjoy a crispy baguette every day? Me too. I even manage to save €312 by limiting my trips to the bakery.

I'll give you my tip:it was Step-Mom who told it to me, and I assure you that I congratulate myself on it every day.

A Single Move

Sundays , I buy my 2 baguettes of the day, plus those I will need the following week. That is 7 baguettes.

When I get home, I put 5 in the freezer. I wrap each baguette in two stacked freezer bags. And off you go, in the freezer!

So, on weeknights, I just have to take my frozen baguette and put it in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes. I take it out of the oven at the last moment so that we can all enjoy a warm and crispy baguette during dinner.

Benefits

1. Time saved in the evening, no need to go to the bakery. And in case you forget, there is always what you need in the freezer.

2. Fuel economy as well, because I avoid a round trip to the bakery. I reduce my CO2 emissions by polluting less (unless you are used to going there on foot).

3. No more spoiled stale bread, we enjoy it so much that everything is eaten.

4. No additional expense:I defrost my bread at the same time as I cook my quiche or my gratin and I reuse the same freezer bags each time.

5. It's so good...

Fans of fresh bread, remember to tell me in the comments how you manage to taste it crispy!

Savings Achieved

Thanks to this trick, I save time and I save 312 € per year in fuel costs. And I enjoy it!
