Following a highly successful crowdfunding campaign supported by over 200 investors, Vegan Fresco has launched the Netherlands' first all-vegan supermarket. Located at 23 Jan Evertsenstraat in Amsterdam, it offers the widest selection of vegan and plant-based products available in the country.
Sustainable features: Green electricity, no plastic bags, and electric deliveries
Vegan Fresco prioritized eco-friendly design, including extra ceiling insulation, electric heating, LED lighting, and advanced energy-efficient refrigeration. Founder Fresco shares: "We focus on products from manufacturers prioritizing sustainable production, packaging, and logistics. We run on green energy, skip plastic bags, use eco-friendly cleaners, separate all waste streams, and partner with electric delivery services."
Vegan Fresco Webshop
The campaign exceeded its €150,000 goal by 144% last fall, enabling a nationwide webshop. "We're now focusing on our Amsterdam store, but the webshop is next so everyone in the Netherlands can enjoy Vegan Fresco," says founder Fresco.
