Inspiration comes from supermarkets, magazines, friends, and family. Fresh salads grace 72% of tables, 20% occasionally feature game, and 43% include fish—salmon leading at 83%. Responsibility matters too: 40% opt for sustainable ingredients. Amid rising December costs, 53% prioritize quality over price.
Tradition endures with staples like chicken (92%), hamburgers (75%), and steak (77%). Post-meal pancakes delight 44%, while garlic sauce (80%) and satay sauce (60%) remain nostalgic hits.
Gourmet sessions last 1-3 hours, often paired with drinks. Men favor beer (28%), women wine (32%), with Sauvignon Blanc topping pairings for its versatility with diverse flavors.
