Nothing is more fun than meeting up with your friends every once in a while for a nice evening at home. Do it differently than an evening drink, and next time go for a sweet afternoon with a delicious high tea. The tradition of high tea dates back to the 1800s when the British upper classes gathered for tea and sandwiches in the mid-afternoon, followed by a walk around the park. Nowadays it is all more informal and cozy. Be inspired by the ideas below and host your own high tea for your friends.

Salmon with herbs or cream cheese, cucumber and arugula
Cheese, ham and lettuce leaves
Mozarella, prosciutto and basil
Yorkham, lamb's lettuce and mustard
Smoked beef, avocado and arugula
Chicken fillet , cucumber and fried bacon
Salami, pickle and bell pepper

How you serve all those treats is almost as important. Look for a cheerful tablecloth, a matching etagère and nice napkins on which you can put everything. A beautiful bunch of flowers completes the picture.
