IKEA Launches Vegan Hot Dog in the UK: A Sustainable Plant-Based Alternative

IKEA has announced the launch of a vegan hot dog via Instagram, following the success of its plant-based Swedish meatballs. This move aligns with the furniture giant's commitment to greener food options, appealing to customers who enjoy its iconic Swedish meals after navigating vast store aisles.

Exclusive UK Launch from August

Michael La Cour, Managing Director of IKEA Food, stated: "Each year, 660 million people enjoy our IKEA Food offer, and we wish that this opportunity to offer good food could have a positive impact on people and the planet. With our new Veggie Hot Dog, we want to inspire our customers, and allow them to choose a sustainable, vegetable-based option at a reasonable price."

This development, three years after the vegan meatballs, reflects growing demand for plant-based versions of popular items. The Veggie Hot Dog will be available exclusively in the UK starting next August.
