London Startup Crafts Personalized Chocolate Lollipops from Your Face

Tired of the same old chocolate gifts every Christmas? London-based startup Candy Mechanics, founded in 2015, offers a gourmet twist: custom lollipops molded from your face. The team partnered with experts like William Leigh, deputy flavor manager at Green & Black's Organic chocolate, and engineer Chris Tait to bring this innovative concept to life.

Lollipops Available in December

The process is simple and tech-savvy: Film your face with your smartphone, upload the video to the Candy Mechanics website, and their system scans and 3D-models it. A premium chocolate piece is then precisely carved to match. They even combat waste by reusing excess shavings for new creations.

These unique face-shaped lollipops launch in December on the Candy Mechanics site for about €23 per set of three. Until then, check out their debut: Candy Cards, delightful personalized chocolate cards ideal for original holiday greetings like "Merry Christmas."
