Reasons not to throw away pumpkin seeds

If you wash, dry, or roast them, you have a super healthy snack.

In the March issue of Santé we therefore wrote a small ode to pumpkin seeds in the form of a list of nine reasons to eat pumpkin seeds. But there is more:

Pumpkin seeds fill well
A handful of pumpkin seeds contains/provides 115 calories. That may sound like a lot, but seeds are the healthy fillers for your salad, granola or soup. So you don't have to add another sandwich.

Pumpkin seeds have a healthy skin
A seed is located inside a pome fruit. The seed contains the actual seed. That pit is not only tasty, but the thin pit wall is also full of good unsaturated fats and other nutrients. So eat it whole!
