7 vegetables to eat this season

Don't forget these vegetables.

1. Sweet potato

2. Kale Kale has been all the rage lately, but above all it is a wintery ingredient rich in nutrients including various vitamins, calcium and antioxidants.

3. Fennel Fennel combines well with sweet, salty, savory and fresh sour. In short, you can go in all directions with it. Fennel promotes digestion, neutralizes bad breath and is said to relieve menopausal and menstrual complaints. You will find recipes with fennel in the October issue of Santé.

4. Leek
Leek belongs to the garlic family. It is an easy ingredient to give a dish more flavor. Add it to stir-fries, soup or casseroles.

5. Parsnips Parsnips used to be eaten a lot, but there are plenty of reasons to prepare this vegetable again. The vegetable is high in fiber, which makes it filling. Because parsnip contains folic acid, it would protect us against dementia, among other things.

6. Cranberries
