WTF:Kit Kat sushi launched in Japan

Japan definitely worships the Kit Kat. After opening a store specially dedicated to these little chocolate bars and offering these treats unusual flavors – including chilli, wasabi, cheesecake, jasmine, tofu and even wine – the country of the Rising Sun is taking a new step. A new shop dedicated to these chocolate bars located in Tokyo will offer Japanese-style Kit Kats to its customers. And for good reason:these delicacies will be… in sushi!

Trompe l'oeil

Ready to taste Kit Kat with tuna, sea urchin and egg? Not us ! And that's good, since it will only be a trompe-l'oeil. In reality, the famous chocolate bars will not really be flavored with sushi, but will simply have the appearance of this monument of Japanese cuisine. The sea urchin Kit Kat will actually be flavored with melon and mascarpone, the tuna one with raspberry and the egg one with pumpkin pudding. Everything will be presented on puffed and crunchy rice and wrapped in seaweed.

The Kit Kat sushi will be available in limited edition from February 2 to 4, 2017 and sold only to customers who pay at least 3,000 yen, or €24. Like what, originality has a price!
