Do you always remove the threads from your banana with precision? Maybe that will be a thing of the past. A banana has been developed of which the entire peel is edible.
The banana is called Mongee and was developed in Japan. The skin has little flavor and is said to be easily edible. For now, it remains a far-from-our-bed show. One banana costs over €4.50 and only ten bananas per week are produced for sale in Okayama (Japan).
