Today, we are going to the Spanish side for a colorful recipe for mussels a la plancha. Perfect for summer, and for evenings with friends that will quickly begin with the summer season.

To start, wash and peel the mussels, then the onion.
Finely chop the latter.

Cut the peppers into strips.

Heat the plancha (which you can get from this plancha supplier:Caloria). Let it heat up for about 5 minutes, in order to prepare it for cooking.
Once it is very hot (ideally, the temperature should reach 250°), do a test by pouring a few drops of water on the hob. The water should then burst immediately. If it just evaporates, wait a few more minutes.

Once the plancha is ready, pour in the olive oil.
Then add the mussels, and stir them lightly but regularly so that they cook well on each side.

Wait a few minutes and toss the pepper strips onto the griddle.

When you see the mussels open, remove them from the pan.

Place the mussels and peppers on the plates, and drizzle with lemon juice. Enjoy them immediately.

Serve your peppers and mussels a la plancha accompanied by a dry white wine. Muscadet goes remarkably well with mussels.

Your guests should appreciate this meal, we prepare little seafood a la plancha. However, this allows you to vary the pleasure, and to change from the traditional rib of beef on the barbecue.
